taking back the joy of coloring
I have been playing around with color on the Logo drawing. I hope you have been, too. I know that many of you spend all day with your screen and probably need a break from your computer and will color the drawings by hand. I think that’s great! I have actually been doing most of my work by hand lately (coloring and crocheting) so I decided to take a break from my normal approach and use photo editing software to color my images. Two of the color palettes (Color Group GC01 and GC02) I used for this post came from Leslie Cabarga’s book, The Designers Guide to Global Color Combinations. The last image’s color palette was just based on instinct. Small confession: even when I “play”, it tends to be super dorky. I am a bit of a compulsive researcher.
Submit your colorings by following the instructions here and I will share them on the blog.
